Our events

We develop and deliver a variety of events for the global scientific community

Auditorium with delegates at a conference

Our conferences foster discussion and debate at the cutting-edge of biomedical research, aiming to bridge the gap between basic and translational science. They typically attract 150-300 international delegates across a broad range of topics including microbiology, immunology, infectious disease and neuroscience, with an emphasis on genomics and bioinformatics aspects. Bursaries are available for students to attend our conferences.

Online courses

Funded by our Courses and Conferences team, and presented in partnership with international and social learning experts FutureLearn, these free online courses are open to all, offering learners from across the world the opportunity to engage with the course materials and to ‘meet’ others in the comments area – to discuss key points, to share their expertise and their progress whilst the course is ‘live’. Those who satisfactorily complete the end-of-course assessment will receive a free digital Certificate of Achievement
